On The Road Again

Mark and I are on a road trip for about three weeks. Right now we’re in Texas to see Chad, Devin, Cole and Peyton and to meet Devin’s family. After Texas we are heading to Florida to spend time with more family. We are traveling with a little more confidence than we had on our trip out west in October and we’re learning to be a little more bold.

I know you all must think Mark is pretty amazing, which he truly is, but I want to take this opportunity to share some of his pet peeves.

In the past before taking a trip it was my job to do most of the packing and Mark never understood why we had to bring so much stuff. I’ll admit I always packed too much but packing for sometimes six people takes up a lot of room in a car. Now Mark is faced with packing all of our stuff and guess what, our car is full with just the two of us but I didn’t say a word.

Another thing I would like to bring to your attention is that Mark would hardly ever ask a stranger for help, not even for directions. But ever since our trip in October Mark has become a master at asking strangers to watch the door while he takes me into the woman’s restroom.

I guess God does have a sense of humor after all.

  1. So glad you are out of this weather too Rosemary and Mark. Hope you flew if able or are keeping out of the way of this storm. It is already sizing up to be quite the winter. How is Chad’s weather? I saw 72 in Orlando.

  2. Hope you have a wonderful vacation. I’m glad you got out of this weather. Love reading your posts, you are both an inspiration to all of us. Molly

  3. Happy Monday. Hope the sun is shining where you are. Glad to hear that this trip is somewhat less challenging than in the fall. Thank goodness for a man that will ask for help. Funny story about the packing. Gordy never questions what or how much I pack because he has never attempted it nor would he have a clue. Nice to know that they can if they need to. Enjoy time with family, time together, and the sights along the way. Love and Hugs. Jill

  4. Sounds like you have lots of fun ahead of you with all your visiting. Family is the best! Safe travels to you. God bless.

  5. It is a great time to get out of Dodge!! Burr baby! I am so thankful for Mark-what a blessing in your life! Have a great trip and safe travel

  6. I am so glad to hear that the two of you are out of Michigan and hopefully enjoying the sights along the way to Texas and Florida. At least it is not as cold in Texas or Florida as it is in Michigan. I seriously don’t know if anything is open. One of my friends in FB posted that Michigan is closed due to this awful weather……..Prayers for a fun filled and safe journey…….As always keep on blogging as I love to read it……..hugs and love girlie :) Gods Speed to you and Mark :)
