The Key To Life

IMG_7163

I received this quote in The Smile Box made for me by my beautiful niece Monica.

“When I was five years old my mother told me that happiness is the key to life. When I went to school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.”

  1. One of my favorite reads on John Lennon. Very profound. I like McCartney’s song, “And in the end, the love you make equals the love you take.” I never was a Beatles freak or follower until last 20 years. They are/were songwriters so ahead of their time. Like Mark said on the phone yesterday McCartney was still able to give a concert when you saw him. Us older folks are known to surprise most everyone now aren’t we.

    1. On that note the first time I heard “when I’m sixty four” I never imagined that I would be singing it on my 64th birthday! Who knew?
