Why

Mom

Why on earth would God allow us to love so deeply and be so deeply loved and then make it hurt so much to love and to be loved? I just don’t understand.

  1. Many times, I find that God works in unusual ways & answers my questions when I need him to. I was listening to the reflection this morning(7/1) at the Catholic bishops website and thought of your post yesterday. Here is the link. http://www.usccb.org/bible/reflections/
I don’t know if it will hit the mark for you, but it certainly is timely.

  2. Ugh! I don’t know how else to say it…I think it’s okay to get mad at God. Sometimes I find myself just asking him/her…”What are you thinking??!!! I’m pretty sure God gets the whole
    ‘humanity’ thing!

  3. I have asked myself this questions so much lately, my beloved nephew Nate Carey killed himself 4 weeks ago. My heart is broken for my sister, niece and my family. We are all so confused and sad!!!

  4. Actually, Rosemary YOU have taught us how to love on so many different levels, you are his tool.
    Love you, xoxo

  5. My thoughts on this are if we are to understand what the joy of love is we first must understand the hurt of it. How do we have the knowledge of love without understanding the opposite of it. We have to have a comparison to feel the fullness of it.

  6. That’s a question that only God can answer. I’ve wondered that many, many times. He does gives us the strength to keep loving and keep moving forward. He is always by our side. We never walk alone. You are not alone and you are deeply, deeply loved.

  7. I wish I had answer to this very good question. It’s one that I’ve asked myself many times. Thinking of you :-) Hugs to you girlie !
